Dental implants are a permanent solution for anyone that has tooth loss. Implants are more durable and tend to be stronger than dentures. With most procedures there tends to be advantages and disadvantages, so the question is this. If the disadvantages are temporary but the advantages permanent will that make a difference to your decision about dental implants?
Advantages

Disadvantages
- Duration of the healing process. (This will vary considerably from one patient to another so its best to discuss this beforehand with your dentist in order that your expectations are not set too high.)
- Titanium is generally very well accepted by the body but occasionally the body can reject the implant
- Limited usage during the healing process after the implant
